The design for this much loved Antique Panda is timeless, with the British maker Merrythought, re-releasing an old favourite.
Panda is 10″ /25cm tall and fully jointed. He has been sewn from a luxuriously soft and dense duo of crisp black and old cream mohairs, with matching black, warm wool felt paws, two tone dark amber eyes and a kissable, hand stitched nose. His delightful bean-filled tummy, is gorgeously squidgy soft, whilst his sumptuous, long tailed British Racing Green satin ribbon bow, adds that must-have classic touch. To finish, the Merrythought logo badge, is sewn onto his right paw. Vintage at it’s best!
Merrythought teddy bears are designed to be enjoyed by all whether children or collectors. We aim to promote the idea of giving a young child a teddy bear that will become his or her companion for life so a Merrythought teddy bear makes the perfect gift for a grandchild.
Originally Merrythought teddy bears had glass eyes (from 1930 onwards) but our bears are now made with plastic safety eyes. Our teddy bears are safety tested and suitable for children although it is advised that any accessories (such as labels, ribbons, clothing) are removed before giving to small children.
