This classic Curly Gold Teddy Bear, is an approx 18 inch tall, fully jointed soft toy made by the English Bear maker – Merrythought. He is made of a beautiful wavy gold coloured mohair with velveteen paw pads. Surface wipeable.
Merrythought teddy bears are designed to be enjoyed by all whether children or collectors. We aim to promote the idea of giving a young child a teddy bear that will become his or her companion for life so a Merrythought teddy bear makes the perfect gift for a grandchild.
Originally Merrythought teddy bears had glass eyes (from 1930 onwards) but our bears are now made with plastic safety eyes. Our teddy bears are safety tested and suitable for children although it is advised that any accessories (such as labels, ribbons, clothing) are removed before giving to small children.

Have bought a number of these bears, it's a family tradition, since 1951 (and all the Bears are still with us!) to give a Merrythought Bear to all our family new arrivals. Previously bought them direct from Merrthought, but World of Bears provided a better cost.
