This gorgeous teddy bear is Oxford, he is a fully jointed 13 inch tall soft toy made by the English Bear maker – Merrythought.
Oxford is made of ultra-soft straw coloured mohair and has mink brown velvet paws. He wears an elegant navy blue satin ribbon and has the traditional Merrythought label sewn on his right foot.
Merrythought teddy bears are designed to be enjoyed by all whether children or collectors. We aim to promote the idea of giving a young child a teddy bear that will become his or her companion for life so a Merrythought teddy bear makes the perfect gift for a grandchild.
Originally Merrythought teddy bears had glass eyes (from 1930 onwards) but our bears are now made with plastic safety eyes. Our teddy bears are safety tested and suitable for children although it is advised that any accessories (such as labels, ribbons, clothing) are removed before giving to small children.

I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in the quality of this product. Was going to give this as a present, but will keep for myself, and the photography was not good, and did not do justice to the quality of the bears. Also thought it would be larger. However, this is no reflection on the service provided by The World of Bears.
