The glorious ‘Silly Old Bear’ was created by R John Wright as their Exclusive 1998-1999, R John Wright Collector’s Club release, whilst also belonging to their Winnie-the-Pooh series.
Silly Old Bear, is of course Pooh, inspired from the drawings of E.M. Shepherd. He is a glorious, cupped-hand sized 7″ / 17.8cm, with a turn-able head and jointed arms, remaining in his seated pose. Pooh has been sewn from a luxurious, woven mohair, wool plush, with carefully shaped limbs, moulded ears, glossy black, bead eyes and a smart hand stitched chestnut nose and mouth on the end of his pointed muzzle, whilst being weighted with pellets for that cuddlesome feel and appeal.
He comes with his RJW brass button and numbered makers label attached, whilst he travels to you in a bespoke, detailed logo embroidered wool felt, draw-string pouch, with his numbered certificate of authenticity enclosed.
This piece is a Limited Edition of just 720 produced.
