Schuco was founded in 1912 in Nuremburg, Germany as a tinplate, mechanical toy company. After WWI they began to produce both mohair and plush teddy bears, concentrating on miniature companions from 1924.
At World of Bears we are proud to be able to offer you a Vintage, Miniature Schuco Bear from the 1940s/1950s. He is a 9 cm /3.5″ fully jointed pocket, bag and anywhere friend. He has been sewn from what once was, a brass hued mohair, that has now faded to a mid-brown shade, which is in exceptional condition for his age. He looks out into the world with black metal eyes, with a hand stitched nose and mouth bringing charm and character, both looking clean and crisp.
This little bear has obviously been taken care of very well. Think of all the stories he could share and for you, it’ll be a fresh beginning.
